I love life. Not because I have it easy (and I don’t), but because it is a great gift. But unlike most gifts it is sometimes undesirable. Problems come, but they also go. And like rain, emotions make an inconvenient downpour—at times when you least need them. Nevertheless, life is worth loving and treasuring. Because after all, it is a gift. A gift paid with love.

I hate losers. Losers = insecure people. I’m not saying that I’m perfect and completely secure. But for me, the insecurity of losers surpasses the ‘controllable level’ so that it obviously shows.

I’m not perfect. I’m not saying this as cliché or as a warning to people to “hey, try to understand me because I have tantrums every now and then…” I’m saying this as a challenge to myself that though I’m not perfect I strive to at least even be near perfection. And believe me, there’s a lot of work to be done!

With my imperfection comes fear. I have lots of those. But I’m building myself to be strong. With the help of God, I know I can do this. I would not settle for anything less than my dreams (and ya, it took a lot of courage to say that). I don’t want to be satisfied, because satisfaction means death. “Unsatisfied” does not necessarily entail envy, jealousy or malicious competition. I can be unsatisfied and still have joy. I can be thirsty but have a full stomach.

I have pride. But before God this pride crumbles down. But before men, this pride proves to be helpful. It protects me from the evil intentions of both devil and man.

I have childish tendencies. It seems that I don’t know where the borderline between child and adult is. Whether this is a good or bad thing—I still don’t know, and I’m left to ponder. But for now I’m leaving the pondering to others, including you.
